A preliminary hearing for two men accused of escaping Dec. 5 from Hawaii Community Correctional Center has been delayed to allow defense attorneys time to prepare.
On Tuesday, Hilo District Judge Harry Freitas re-scheduled the hearing for Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. for 35-year-old Jarvis Higa and 31-year-old Ryan Jeffries-Hamar.
