HONOLULU (AP) — The late Sen. Daniel Inouye will lie in state in Honolulu on Saturday after returning from Washington.
Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s spokeswoman Louise Kim McCoy says the senator will lie in state at the Hawaii state Capitol from 5 p.m. to midnight.
A memorial service for the senator is scheduled for the next morning at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, or Punchbowl.
In Washington, Inouye will lie in state in the U.S. Capitol rotunda on Thursday. Services are scheduled for Friday at Washington National Cathedral.
