Members of the Hilo Rainmakers 4-H Club recently presented the club’s prestigious Paper Clover Award to one of the many supporters of the 4-H program — Del’s Feed and Farm Supply in Hilo.

“With the support of committed customers, Del’s was able to raise $1,910 that went to the National 4-H Council,” said spokesman Zachary Matthews. “The National 4-H Council was then able to divide the money among the 4-H community on the state and county levels.”

Such community support helps ensure that the famous 4-H motto comes true for everyone who follows its mission “To Make The Best Better.”

Anyone interested finding more about joining 4-H is invited to contact the East Hawaii County Extension Service educator Becky Settlage at settlage@hawaii.edu.
