Chiyoko Akasaki, 87, of Paauilo, formely of Mililani, died Dec. 15 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Kohala she was a retired nurse. Private services held. Survived by two Jerome (Karen) Akasaki of Paauilo, Clayton (Susan) Akasaki of Honolulu; brother, Takeo (Mildred) Nakama of Honolulu; sister, Doris Horikawa of Honolulu; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home, Hilo.

Hajime Hagio, 95, of Volcano died Jan. 8, at home. Born in Mountain View, he was the proprietor of H. Hagio Farm, member of the Taishoji Soto Mission and Fukuoka Kenjinkai. Visitation from 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo; memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers. Survived by wife, Kiyomi Hagio of Volcano; son, Hiram (Noreen) Hagio of Kapaau; daughters, Sharon Hagio of Honolulu and Ruby (Carl) Soares of Hilo; sister, Hanae Nishimoto of Hilo; son-in-law, Brian Kajikawa of Hilo; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Haroldleen Kuuleilani Kaleleiki, 74, of Lahaina, Maui, formerly of Pahoa, died Dec. 25 in Honolulu. Born in Lahaina, she was a clothing model for Betty Mu‘u and professional hula dancer. Survived by husband, Sam Kaleleiki; sons, Tamalani Kaleleiki, Hinano Kaleleiki; daughter, Puanani Kaleleiki; sisters, Yvonne Sharpe of Kihei, Alexandria Subica of Hilo; hanai sisters, Carol Kealoha Liftee, Pauline K. Kauwenaole Edwards of Hilo, Patricia Cockett-Bergin of Waimea, Leinani Leong of Kahului, Sista Aganos of Kahului, Penny Schneider of Kahului, Barbara Jean Hale; brother, Ralph Sharpe; hanai sons, Kalehua Belloto, Michael Pai, of Puna; hanai daughters, Heli Silva-Ducaroy, Uilani Silva-Pai, and an uncle. Kris Michael Korban, 45, of Kailua Kona died Dec. 20 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Long Beach, Calif., he was a laborer.
