The Very Rev. Timothy (Lionel) Baclig will be honored on Saturday on the 30th anniversary of his ordination to the holy priesthood by the community of St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church in Van Nuys, Calif.

The Very Rev. Timothy (Lionel) Baclig will be honored on Saturday on the 30th anniversary of his ordination to the holy priesthood by the community of St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church in Van Nuys, Calif.

The event, to begin at 5 p.m. with great vespers, will be followed by a fellowship hour and a gala dinner and program at the St. Michael Community Center. More than 250 guests have signed up to attend, including family members from Hawaii and California.

Baclig, a 1972 graduate of Hilo High School, is the son of the late Andres Sr. and Lucille Camara Baclig of Hilo. He is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and the Orthodox Seminary of New York.
