On behalf of the Connections Public Charter School Parent Teacher Student Ohana, we wanted to say mahalo for all those who came out to our “Make a Snowflake Day” a success at the Mooheau Bandstand on Thursday, Jan. 3.
So many beautiful snowflakes were handmade and especially made from the heart. No two snowflakes are ever alike. We also wanted to say a big mahalo to Jason Koji from Eighty-Two Creations for supporting our snowflake drive; Alice Moon and her AmeriCorp volunteer team at the Hilo Improvement Program for providing a venue for our event; and, to Lisa Chaly from Big Island Weekly and Jason Armstrong from the County of Hawaii for being supportive in getting the word out.
We were able to make about 60 snowflakes that day and we received a total of 352 island snowflakes to send back to the Connecticut Parent Teacher Association in Newton, Conn. A little of bit of aloha goes a long way.
Mahalo nui loa for your love and support.
