‘Culinary Arts Under the Stars’ Saturday at Waikoloa

A fun food-tasting party will be presented from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at “Culinary Arts Under the Stars” in the Kings’ Shops at Waikoloa Resort as a benefit for the Hawaii Community College Palamanui Culinary Arts Program.

A fun food-tasting party will be presented from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at “Culinary Arts Under the Stars” in the Kings’ Shops at Waikoloa Resort as a benefit for the Hawaii Community College Palamanui Culinary Arts Program.

Admission is $30 per person, with tickets available at Maui Divers in the Kings’ Shops, online at www.KonaKohalaChefs.org, or by calling the Kailua Candy Co. at 329-2522. Scrip for drinks will be $3 apiece, with wine costing two scrip, and beer, one scrip. The wine will be provided by Alex Thropp of Westside Wine, with beer by Big Island Brewhaus.

The gourmet food will be created by Roy’s Waikoloa Bar & Grill, Merriman’s Market Cafe, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Lava Lava Beach Club, Hawaii Calls Restaurant, Kamuela Provision Co., Waikoloa Grill’n Bar and a dessert station by HCC West Hawaii culinary students.

Many shops at the Kings’ Shops will offer items for a silent auction. Guests are invited to meet the chefs, stroll through the shopping center and enjoy the music.
