County Prosecutor Mitch Roth has filed an information complaint accusing a 34-year-old Hilo man with habitual drunken driving.

County Prosecutor Mitch Roth has filed an information complaint accusing a 34-year-old Hilo man with habitual drunken driving.

The complaint filed Feb. 1 in Hilo Circuit Court states that James Kainoa Kahee had been convicted three or more times for DUI within 10 years when he was arrested by police on Dec. 7 in Hilo for habitual DUI, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

The complaint also charges Kahee with driving after his license had been revoked for DUI, a petty misdemeanor punishable by between three and 30 days in jail.
