Barbara Jean (Ramos) Respicio, 69, of Mililani died Jan. 19. Born in Honolulu and raised in Pauka’a, she was a retired registered nurse. She also worked for School Health Services, Waimano Home, Leahi and Hilo Hospital, and Lam Clinic. Visitation at 10 a.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary’s Mauka Chapel in Honolulu. Service over ashes at 11 a.m. No flowers. Survived by husband, Benjamin Respicio; son, Randall Respicio; daughter, Sheri Man; hanai son, Harold Ferwerda; grandchildren, Shelby Man and Brennen Man; and brother, Andres “Nato” Agan, Jr.

John Anthony “Tony” Walls, 61, of Hilo died Jan. 31 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Alaska, he was a retired floral designer for Barb’s Florist. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Friday at United Community Church. Celebration of life to follow from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Coconut Willy’s and Baker Tom’s located at Uncle Billy’s Hotel, 87 Banyan Drive. Survived by parents, John W. Walls and Barbara Jean Rand Walls of Hilo; son, John Kyle Walls of Alaska; daughter Megan Lee Walls of Hilo; brothers, George (Jenna) Walls of Hakalau and Rand T. Shigeno Oda, 93, of Hilo died Jan. 26 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Paukaa, she was a retired elementary school teacher. Private services held. No flowers. No koden. Survived by sister, Harue Nakahara of Hilo; numerous nephews and nieces. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Ryan David Whisler, 40, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 29 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, he was disabled. Memorial services held in Centralia, Wash. Survived by father, David (Elaine) Whisler of Clearwater, Fla.; mother, Diane Whisler of Centralia, Wash.; sister, Dawn Whisler of Clearwater, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Whisler of Centralia, Wash.; maternal grandmother, Rosalie Graef of Seattle; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Leslie “Les” C. Lund, 67, of Kailua-Kona died Tuesday. Born in Belleville, Ill., he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, was a member of the Moose and Eagles clubs, retired from the Ohio American Water Company in 2002, worked as personal aid to special needs adults and was a coach, mentor and unified partner for Special Olympics West Hawaii. Survived by wife, Kay; son, Kenneth Lund of Sugarland, Texas; daughters Jennifer (Todd) Watson of Ashland, Ohio; Lesley (Christos) Angelopoulos of San Diego, California; and six grandchildren: Jacob, Chad, Nathan, Lucas, Fiona, and Christos Jr.. Mozelle Bacon Goosby, 97, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 23 at the Regency at Hualalai. Born in Rogers, Texas, she was a retired mail sorter and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held at Inglewood Park Cemetery Mortuary in Inglewood, Calif.
