Senior Guard Monica DeAngelis scored a game-high 20 points and junior forward Kamilah Martin posted her ninth double-double of the season Thursday night as the University of Hawaii women’s basketball team bested Cal Davis 59-48 in Honolulu.
Martin scored all 10 her points in the first half as the Rainbow Wahine (12-11, 8-4 Big West) raced out to a 34-14 lead at the break. Martin added a game-high 12 rebounds as UH commanded the glass.
Ashleigh Karaitiana added eight points and nine rebounds and Hilo High graduate Vicky Tagalicod also finished with eight points as the ’Bows matched their highest win total since 2008. The last time Hawaii had won eight league games was 2007.
Sydnee Fipps led the Aggies (10-12, 5-6) with 18 points.
