The Hilo Trollers first tournament of the year will be April 7.
Membership forms, tournament entry forms and the revised trollers tournament rules are available at S. Tokunaga Store, J. Hara Store and Boat House Hawaii. Entry forms and fees are due at one of the stores by 4 p.m. on the Friday before a Sunday tournament. The rest of the tournament dates for the season are May 5, June 2, July 14, Aug. 4, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
All persons on board must be paid members of the club, and must have signed the membership and waiver form for their boat. Boats must comply with Coast Guard safety regulations and must have a working marine radio.
The new trollers rules allow electric reels so fishermen don’t have to change their gear.

In addition, the Trollers will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Wailoa Pavilion 1. The potluck will include tounament information and a prize drawing.
