“All of the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today” will be the focus on Monday as the Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School invites everyone, including parents, alumni, family, friends and other community members, to join in this year’s annual Laupahoehoe Point Memorial service.

“All of the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today” will be the focus on Monday as the Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School invites everyone, including parents, alumni, family, friends and other community members, to join in this year’s annual Laupahoehoe Point Memorial service.

The procession will start at 9 a.m. at the “old school” gymnasium and end at the memorial site.

“This year’s theme is ‘Together we Can,’” said spokeswoman Loida Navalta. “In the spirit of laulima and lokahi, cooperation and unity, please show your support by wearing Laupahoehoe school colors, blue and gold.”

“For 18 years now our community, school, family and friends have joined together to improve our community through this project. Because of this involvement, we have also created a great way to relate to the several generations that compose our hometown.

“We have achieved this by working together for a common goal to better our community by observing the memorial service held at the point each year,” she said. “This great annual event has helped both the community and the school to make an important connection to our past, to the point and to our present, the seeds of today.”

Students are also engaging in activities on Wednesday and Thursday in connection to the memorial service. Please visit www.laupahoehoecharterschool.com for more information.
