Police are investigating the theft of a tractor this past weekend along the Hamakua Coast.

Sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, and 8:20 a.m. on Monday, March 25, a green John Deere front-end loader was removed from property just mauka of the 20-mile marker on Highway 19 in Ninole. The machine was equipped with a yellow Gearmore grass cutter. The items were valued at $39,000.

Anyone with information on the location of the equipment or any other information about this case is asked to call Officer Agitau Faanunu at 962-2120. Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
