Edwin De Coito, Sr., 85, of Hilo, died on March 27 at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama facility. Born in Hilo, he was retired from the State Highways Division as a heavy equipment operator and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Visitation 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Papaikou; Mass at 10 a.m.; burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Section E. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Bernice De Coito of Hilo; daughter, Beverly (Larry) Fontana of Napa, Calif.; sons, Edwin (Robyn) De Coito, Jr. and Michael (Gwendilyn) De Coito, both of Hilo; sister, Violet De Coito of Hilo; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Blane Shigeru Aburamen, age 54, of Hilo died March 22 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was the proprietor of Blane’s Drive Inn, Freddy’s Restaurant and Drive-In, and Manono Mini Mart, supporter of the Hilo Junior Golf Association and member of the Executive Golf Club, Kanoelehua Industrial Area Association, Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaii, and Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce. John Michael “Mike” Bibb, 69, of California, formerly of Honokaa, died March 18 in Barstow, Calif. Born in Milford, Utah, he owned a Volkswagen repair business in Honokaa. Services pending.
