Looking for an exciting way to spend the summer? Experience summer at HPA, where programs are open to all — from toddlers to students entering grade 12.
There will be classes and/or camps revolving around tennis, drama, basketball, horses and equestrian skills, environmental stewardship, swimming and enrichment courses in a wide variety of fields.

Final weekend of ‘Little Mermaid’
The Hilo High School Performing Arts Learning Center students will present the final week of “The Little Mermaid Jr.” at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the school’s auditorium.
This family-friendly one act musical production is open to the public. The play features a lively cast, colorful scenery and costumes and all the popular Disney songs, including “A Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Soul” and “Kiss the Girl.”
Tickets can be purchased at the door. They are $10 for adults and $5 for children, students and seniors.
Kokua Kailua set for April 21
Historic Kailua Village’s monthly Kokua Kailua will take place on Sunday, April 21. Pedestrians can enjoy the oceanfront setting from 1 to 6 p.m., when Alii Drive becomes a festive marketplace.
There are shops to explore, island vendors with a variety of art, crafts and other wares plus free entertainment throughout the afternoon. At 4 p.m., enjoy an afternoon of entertainment on the lawn at Hulihee Palace. Conclude your Historic Kailua Village visit with dinner at any one of Historic Kailua Village’s numerous eateries.
The next Kokua Kailua will be Sunday, May 19.
Kokua Kailua Village Stroll is sponsored by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District, Destination Kona Coast, Kailua Village Merchants Association, Hulihee Palace, West Hawaii Today and Pacific Radio Group.
“The program is designed to rally support for merchants and restaurants and to remind residents to shop, dine and buy local,” said an event spokesman.
