Ella Tsutae Hara, 83, of Hilo died April 10 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Honomu, she was a retired special education aide for the Hawaii Department of Education and member of Kapiolani Kumiai. Private services held. No koden. No flowers. Survived by husband, Charles “Fuchu” Hara of Hilo; daughters, Irene (Kenneth) Nekoba, Susan (Clayton) Yugawa, both of Hilo; son, Jason (Norma Miguel) Hara of Keaau; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Kenneth William Kush, 69, of Kailua-Kona died March 28 at his residence. Born in Chicago, Ill., he retired as a chief petty officer after 26 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He taught scuba diving and led tours for Kona Coast Divers, and worked at the Kona Costco for several years, and finished the Waikoloa Lavaman triathlon twice. Services to be held at a later date. Survived by wife, Barbara Kush of Kailua-Kona; son, Kenneth (Virginia) of New Jersey; sister, Karen Schuster or Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sandra “Sandy” Ruth Teer, 65, of Hilo died Friday, April 5, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired assistant manager for the former Western Auto, and a member of the Berean Bible Church and its Bible study group. Visitation will from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Berean Bible Church, 420 Lama St., Hilo; Memorial service at 10 a.m.; fellowship to follow. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Seymour Teer of Hilo; sons, Wayne Lee Jr. of Hilo and Sean Lee of Hilo; daughter, Grace (Ernest) Aguiar of Hilo; sisters, Catherine (Tom) Burns of Kona and Lucille (Steven) Okano of Honomu; brother, Mitchell Bautista of Honomu; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeanne Testa, 72, of Volcano died Tuesday, April 9, at the Pohi Malama Hospice in Hilo. Born in New Jersey and retired as a court reporter with the U.S. Army. Also retired as a sergeant 1st class. No service to be held. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aloha Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Hospice of Hilo. Survived by husband, Frank E. Box of Volcano; son, Russell S. Esposito of Oklahoma; daughter, Noreen M. Harper of Oklahoma; sisters, Patricia Cole of New York, Marguerite Meyer of South Carolina and Kathy Clark of California; brother, Andrew Bradshaw of New Jersey; four grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews; 20 grand-nieces and nephews. Ronald Herbert Vierra, 75, of Hilo died April 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired refrigeration technician. No services. Survived by daughter, Failene Healani Alves of Hilo; son, Ronald H. (Jodie) Vierra Jr. of Hilo; sister, Vanessa A. Shayne Yoshi Kalani Kobayashi’s obituary in the Tuesday, April 16, edition omitted a survivor: son, Gabriel Nasario of Seattle, Wash.
