The Zonta Club of Hilo presents “Fashion Frenzy, A Fashion Show with a Twist,” on Sunday at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel in the Mokuola Ballroom. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the program starts at 12 p.m. Making a special guest appearance is Hawaii resident Andy South, a finalist from “Project Runway” season 8.
Models will strut the catwalk showcasing the clothing and accessories of 14 local designers and boutiques, including Andy South, Bev Creamer, Elizabeth Kent, Liz Ambrose, The Boutique, Bobbi Lyn’s, Hana Hou, Jazzmine, Naupaka Designs and Sook’s Collections.
“Hilo women will be in fashion heaven,” said Tonya Ozone, Fashion Frenzy coordinator. “What better way to spend your afternoon than soaking up the latest fashions and enjoying a delicious lunch while supporting an excellent cause?”
Fashion Frenzy is a fashion show fundraiser and an opportunity to inform the community of the work Zontians do and to raise money for service and advocacy projects as well as scholarships that support women and girls, locally and across the globe.
Attendees will have the chance to speak with designers and purchase their favorite pieces after the runway show, as well as mingle with local Zontians to learn more about how the club is helping the community or how to join.
Tickets are $50, which includes a light lunch, dessert, local entertainment and a fashion show sure to wow. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit zontafashionfrenzy.com, or call 808-930-6529.
