The Exchange Club of Hilo invites the community to join in the National Day of Prayer by attending the 19th annual Mayor’s Breakfast Fellowship on Thursday, May 2, at the Naniloa Resort Hotel’s Crown Room.
“We Support Our Troops, Local Government and Our First Responders” is the theme of this year’s breakfast. The program includes Mayor Billy Kenoe and Kimo Alameda, Ph.D., as speakers and a musical special by The Daughters of God.
A unique feature of the morning will be a wave of flags greeting those attending the breakfast. The foundation of the Exchange Club is built upon Americanism, community activities, youth activities and its national project, the prevention of child abuse. The Exchange Club of Hilo presents such programs as its Freedom Shrine and Proudly We Hail as part of its Americanism initiative. The organization’s goal is to ignite the spirit of community service throughout the nation.
For more information, please contact project chairman Frank Lafita at 987-9382. The fellowship breakfast is held in Hilo on the first Thursday in May, to coincide with the date of the annual National Day of Prayer.
