Waiakea High Senior Awards on Thursday
The Waiakea High School Class of 2013 Senior Awards program, “Tonight’s the Night,” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, in the school’s cafeteria. Students receiving academic, department, service, special awards and scholarships will be recognized at this time.
Groups or businesses that would like to present a scholarship or award should contact Donna Tanabe at 974-4888, ext. 362, by Tuesday, April 30.
HPA commencement is set for May 24
Commencement ceremonies for Hawaii Preparatory Academy will be held starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24, in Castle Gymnasium at the school’s Upper Campus. Eighty-four graduating seniors will take part in the program.
Headmaster Lindsay Barnes will preside. Arati Clarry, an HPA alumna and the school’s director of alumni and student programs, will deliver the commencement address.
