Robert “Bob” James Kerr, 85, of Kailua Kona, died May 3 at a private care home. Born in Elmhurst, Ill., he was a retired sales manager for American Optical in California. Memorial service 10 a.m. Monday at Grace Community Church. Private scattering of ashes at a later date. Survived by wife, Barbara Kerr of Kailua Kona; sons, Steve ( Laurie) Kerr of Bend, Ore., Jeff Kerr of Honolulu and Ron (Helen) Kerr of Kailua-Kona; sister, Grace Lauer of California; three grandchildren.
