HONOLULU (AP) — Honolulu police say a man nearly rammed a vehicle into an officer on a bicycle and they were searching for the suspect Saturday.
Hawaii News Now cites police in reporting (http://bit.ly/10aTjI5 ) that the officer was on duty when the incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The officer had attempted to pull over the driver for speeding before the suspect fled.
Authorities say the driver’s vehicle came close to hitting the officer before he drove off.
