Today in Honokaa, the Hamakua Youth Center will sponsor an Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Honokaa Sports Complex on Akia Street. The theme for this year’s fair is “Preparing for a Zombie Apocalypse.” The event is being presented in collaboration with Hawaii County Civil Defense.
Today in Honokaa, the Hamakua Youth Center will sponsor an Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Honokaa Sports Complex on Akia Street. The theme for this year’s fair is “Preparing for a Zombie Apocalypse.” The event is being presented in collaboration with Hawaii County Civil Defense.
The fair will feature projects designed by students from the Youth Center, with judging to begin at 4 p.m. Also present will be representatives from the Fire Department and the Police Department to answer general questions about emergency preparedness.
The Youth Center will also be using this event to unveil its new Emergency Preparedness Trailer to the public.
