HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaii television station KHON-TV says it has reached a deal with Oceanic Time Warner cable to continue to be carried to subscribers in the state.
KHON said on its website Friday that the “fair resolution” will allow the TV station to continue providing news and other local programming.
KHON General Manager Kristina Lockwood says she does not have details of the deal.
KHON in owned by Lin TV Corp., which operates or services 43 TV stations in 23 markets. A spokeswoman for the Providence, R.I.-based company declined comment on the specifics of the deal.
The station ran ads in the days leading up to the deadline for the deal, saying it was in danger of being cut from the cable lineup.
KHON is Hawaii’s Fox station.
