Ellen Leiko Ozaki, 44, of San Jose, Calif., formerly of Hilo, died May 28 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a physical therapist and avid outrigger canoe paddler and runner. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by parents, Mitsuru and Kara Ozaki of Hilo; brother, Eric (Betty) Ozaki of San Jose, Calif.; paternal grandmother, Mitsuko Ozaki of Hakalau; aunts, uncles and cousins. Gillyn Leones Tabafunda, 17, of Waimea died June 2 at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was a member of the Honokaa Iloko Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Visitation 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in (Kalopa) Honokaa.
