Edward Kiyoshi Harada, 81, of Hilo, died June 15. Born in Honolulu, he was former chief engineer for the County of Hawaii, Hilo office manager for M&E Pacific, and an avid baseball fan and golfer. Visitation 4-5 p.m. July 12 at the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin; services at 5 p.m. No monetary gifts. Survived by wife, Jean; daughters, Dana Nagaishi (Raude) and Leigh Jusuf (Francis); brother, Richard; sister, Janet Kamasaki (Takashi); brother-in-law, Leonard Nagata; and three grandchildren.
Yaeko Hirakawa Medeiros, 87, of Honomu, died June 20 in Springfield, Ill. Born in Honohina, Hawaii, she was a retired Hilo Hospital Employee and member of Honomu Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
