Police arrested an 18-year-old Pahoa man Wednesday for a reported knife incident at a Pahoa 7-11 and charged him with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening.
Officers responding to a 5:12 p.m. call at the convenience store arrested Cordell Dionte Studley. Store employees reported that Studley walked into the business and used a telephone without permission.
When they refused to allow him to use the phone a second time, he allegedly brandished two knives and threatened them.
No one was injured.
First-degree terroristic threatening is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment.
Studley made his initial appearance Thursday afternoon in Hilo District Court.
Studley remained in custody at Hawaii Community Correctional Center late Thursday afternoon in lieu of $4,000 bail.
