The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency will conduct a test of the emergency warning siren system on Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. This test is to confirm system readiness in the wake of adjustments and repairs performed immediately after 18 of the island’s 71 sirens primarily in Hilo and Puna, failed to sound during the regular monthly test on July 1.
