Alice Satsuki Kawazoe Nakagawa, 90, of Honolulu died July 19 at Maunalani Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Pahoa, she was retired as a clerk for Alexander Brothers, Ltd. Private services held. Survived by son, Burt Nakagawa of Honolulu; daughter, Valerie Nakagawa of Honolulu; brother, Lefty (Kay) Kawazoe of Hilo; sisters, Jane Nakanishi of Honolulu, Satsuyo Taira of Hilo and Elaine (Robert) Takamine of Honolulu.

Grace Eiko Kaiawe, 80, Captain Cook died June 24 at her residence. Born in Kainaliu, she was a tour conductor for Jack’s Tours and Roberts Hawaii’s Japanese groups, office manager for DK Trucking and a clerk at the Hawaii County Police Department in Captain Cook. She was also a member of the Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club, American Orchid Society and Kingsley Kumiai. Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 10 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa’s Convention Center for an 11 a.m. celebration of life. Aloha attire. Survived by sons, Richard (Johnnalyn) Kaiawe and Dwight (Charli) Kaiawe, each of Kealakekua, and Dean Kaiawe of Captain Cook; daughter, Lani Ng of Kealakekua; sisters, May Oekawa of Mililani and Gertrude Go of Honolulu; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jaison James Irving, 30, of Hilo, died July 23 at Kona Community Hospital. He was born on Oahu. Celebration of life to be held. Survived by mother, Kathie Medina of Hilo; brother, Michael Joshua Irving of Washington state; sisters, Tina Marie Rogert of Washington and Ti’esha Elizabeth Scott of Florida; aunt, Robin Simiele of Mountain View; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
