On the same day that the University of Hawaii football team held its first practice, coach Norm Chow said that first-year offensive coordinator Aaron Price was no longer with the team.

“This was a difficult decision to make and the timing is unfortunate as we begin fall camp,” Chow said in a university release Friday morning. “Some issues have arisen and we’ve chosen to move forward without Aaron.”

Price joined the Rainbow Warriors in February, and he was also the team’s wide receivers coach. However, Chow was expected to call the team’s plays even with Price in the fold.

According to the release, Chow is not expected to hire another coordinator to head the offense this season. Graduate assistants Jordan Wynn (quarterbacks) and Luke Matthews (wide receivers) will take on expanded roles.
