Cultural practitioner Leilehua Yuen blesses the new stage at the Palace Theater during the weekly “Hawaiiana Live” show Wednesday afternoon. The new stage was made possible by donations from the Gerald and Janet Carrus Foundation and money raised from the community cast of the “Vaudeville Variety Show.” Other improvements include energy-efficient stage lighting and footlights that are scheduled to be installed later this year.
