The defending Big Island Interscholastic Federation champions in Division I and II didn’t disappoint on the opening day of the Waiakea Invitational Volleyball Tournament.
Kamehameha and Ka’u each won all six sets they played Thursday at the Warriors gym.
The Warriors swept East Pac, Hawaii Prep and Keaau, while the Trojans handled Honokaa, Kealakehe and Waiakea.
Hilo and Konawaena each went 5-1 in set play, while Hawaii Prep was 4-2. Waiakea finished 3-3, as did Kealakehe after it swept Honokaa (0-6). Pahoa and Waiakea’s junior varsity went 1-5 and Keaau and East Pac were each 0-4 heading into their final match.
The three pools will be reseeded according to record with play on two courts beginning at 1 p.m. today.
