Take a trip out to the South Kona 15-acre garden, which features a wide variety of native dryland plants, some of which are rare or endangered in the wild. Learn about these fascinating species found nowhere else in the world.

After the walk, artists will be given time to roam about the garden to photograph, sketch or paint. There is easy walking along garden paths and sloping grassy lawn. Participants can either meet at the garden or shuttle for free from Hilo. Participants will be given a $5 coupon that can be used to cover part of the intake fee for the upcoming Hawaii Nei art contest. Contact Emily Leucht at 430-1994.
