Angelina “Kay” Acoba, 94, of Hilo, formerly of Pepeekeo, died Aug. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines; she was a seamstress, retired clerk for the former Pay Less department store and member of Pepeekeo Filipino Association and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Mass at 10 a.m.. Aloha attire; flowers welcome. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Survived by sons, Leonard (Thelma) Acoba and Patrick (Estrella) Acoba of Honolulu; daughters, Paula (David) Chuck of Hilo and Claudia (Wayne) Palea of Kent, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
