Many of the Big Island’s top musicians will play Saturday in a benefit concert for local singer-guitarist Randy Parker, who is suffering from cancer.

Many of the Big Island’s top musicians will play Saturday in a benefit concert for local singer-guitarist Randy Parker, who is suffering from cancer.

The concert is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hilo Honpa Hongwanji Sangha Hall on Kilauea Avenue next to the downtown Hilo Starbucks.

All proceeds will go to pay for expenses not covered by insurance and living expenses as a result of lost income.

Among those lending their talents to raise funds to kokua Randy are John Keawe, Mark Yamanaka, Ben Kaili, Lito Arkangel, Randy Lorenzo, the Longakit-Tripp ohana, Bruddah Waltah Aipolani and Ira Kekaualua.

There will also be food booths, a chili contest and silent auction.

Tickets are $10 advance, $15 door. Advance tickets are available at Basically Books, CD Wizard and Music Exchange in Hilo, Kilauea General Store in Volcano and Jungle Love in Pahoa.
