Robert “Rabbit” Henry Correa, 62, of Hilo died Aug. 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a construction worker. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Thy Word Ministries. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Potluck luncheon to follow. Casual attire. George Keoki Kela, 66, of Long Beach, Calif., died July 29 in Long Beach. Born in Keaukaha, he was a retired Bekins truck driver in Los Angeles, a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and member of Onomea Rangers softball team. Celebration of life 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Puhi Bay in Keaukaha. Survived by wife, Colleen L. Kela of Hilo; children, Emmalani Kela of Hilo, Stacie Kela of Gardena, Calif., Kristen Kela-Liggins (Britain) of Montclair, Calif., and John Kela (Brenda) of Long Beach; sisters, Ellen Lainaholo (Shephard), Patience Brown (Samson) and Laverne Lewis of Hilo; brothers, Richard Kela Sr. of Hilo and Eric Kela (Diane) of Cypress, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Orvis A. Knowlton, 75, of Hilo died Aug. 17 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Portland, Ore., he was a retired mechanic for Antonio’s Auto Repair. Services held. Survived by wife, Cecilia M. Lillian Toledo Pacheco Low, 76, of Hilo died Aug. 25 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was a retired state employee and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Dixeen “Dixie” Leiko Sakamoto, 60, of Hilo died Aug. 15 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a maintenance worker for the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Richard Kazuto Yoshida, 88, of Keaau died July 21 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Hanapepe, Kauai, he was retired from Japan Airlines and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Urn committal service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), Honolulu. Casual attire; no flowers.
