Sharyn Shizuko Masukawa, 85, of Hilo died Thursday at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired account clerk for Nick’s Garage. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Christian Fellowship, Kupulau; celebration of life at 3 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers. Survived by daughters, Lenora (Wayne) Matsuda and Roxane (Anthony, Jr.) Rodrigues, both of Hilo; sons, Keith Masukawa of Kona and Duane Masukawa of Hilo; sister-in-law, Elaine (Eugene) Young of Honolulu; brothers-in-law, Tadashi Iseri and Hiroshi Kitsutani, both of Hilo; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Manuel “Manny” Ancheta Ternura, Jr., 61, of Waimea, died Aug. 22 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Gattaran, Cagayan, Philippines, he was a laundry sorter for the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Visitation from 5-6 p.m. Sunday at St. James Episcopal Church, Waimea. Service at 6 p.m. Casual attire. Flowers welcomed. Yoso Ishizu, 80, of Papaaloa died Aug. 22 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Papaaloa, he was retired from the former Hamakua Sugar Company as a welder. He was also a member of the Papaaloa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. Visitation from 3-4 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire. Lois Gilman Schuster, 86, of Hilo died Aug. 21 at her residence. Born in Puunene, Maui, she was a homemaker and a former volunteer at the Lyman House Museum. She was also a founding member of the Hawaii Island Humane Society, and member of Daughters of Hawaii, Hawaiian Mission Children’s Society and First United Protestant Church of Hilo. Services are pending. Survived by sons, Charles (Laurel) Schuster of Honolulu, Richard (Laura) Schuster of Hilo, Robert (Tricia) Schuster of San Diego and Henry (Rebecca) Schuster of Kailua-Kona; sister, Patricia Greenwell of Kamuela; brother, Joseph (Shelly) Gilman of Kailua, Oahu; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
