The state Department of Transportation has announced the following roadwork for this week, weather permitting:

l On Hawaii Belt Road (Highway 19), alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge in the vicinity of Hakalau in both directions, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for steel bridge repairs. Travel speed is reduced to 25-mph and vehicle weight limited to 25-tons.

l On Volcano Highway (Highway 11), alternating single-lane in both directions between milepost markers 8.6 and 13.4 between Keaau and Mountain View, Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, for pavement reconstruction.

l On Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 190), alternating lane closures in both directions near, south of the Waikoloa Road intersection, Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, for roadway widening.

l On Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 190) near Makalei, alternating single-lane closures in both directions between Uluoa Street and Old Kona Village Road, Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, for pavement striping and guardrail installation.
