Ted Satomi Tanimoto, 88, of Hilo died July 25 at his residence. Born in Papaaloa, he was a retired electrician. He was also a member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Laupahoehoe High School Class of 1943, Big Island Beekeepers Association, Kapualani Kumiai and a life time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Private services held. Survived by sisters, Betty (Asamitsu) Hiromura and Myrtle (George) Nakasato, both of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Kazue Tanimoto of Hilo; brother-in-law, Kenichi (Ruth) Yotsuji of Hilo; caregiver, Kanani Alfiche of Mountain View; numerous nieces and nephews.
