President and Chief Executive Officer Sherry Menor-McNamara of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii will be the guest speaker at a meeting of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaii from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in the Hilo Hawaiian Moku’ola Room.

Cost for the buffet luncheon is $35 for the public and $30 for members of the sponsoring organization, the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, the Hawaii Island Contractors Association, the Kanoelehua Industrial Area Association and the Hawaii Island Board of Realtors.
RSVP and payment are due by Tuesday.
Menor-McNamara was named to her post on Sept. 1. With a strong professional background in marketing, communications and business, she joined the COCH in 2006, and became vice president of business advocacy and government affairs in 2007. In that capacity, she has led the Chamber’s statewide Business Alliance, a consortium of business organizations including JCCIH that advocates for business-friendly legislation and policies.
Raised in Hilo, she is a graduate of Waiakea High School. In 2012, she was recognized as one of the Top 20 to Watch by Hawaii Business Magazine.
