The indictments dated Sept. 11 charge Matthew Keone Tilfas with two counts of auto theft, plus unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle, theft of a credit card, unauthorized possession of personal information, fraudulent use of a credit card, third-degree computer fraud, third-degree identity theft and third- and fourth-degree theft.
A bench warrant set his bail at $62,000. Tilfas, who was the subject of a police bulletin last month asking for the public’s help in finding him, was later arrested during a warrants sweep and charged with violating release on bail, contempt of court and failure to appear.
He is incarcerated at Hawaii Community Correctional Center and had not been arrested on the new charges as of Monday.
