Yoshiko Ikeda Machida, 105, of Hilo died Sept. 15 at Agcaoili Care Home. Born in Olaa, she was a retired bookkeeper for the former Machida, Inc. and a member of the Hilo Meishoin Mission & Fujinkai. Private services held. No flowers and no koden. Survived by daughter, Jean Bart of Honolulu; son, Douglas (Denice) Machida of Irvine, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Margaret Machida of Monterey Park, Calif.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Gene “Geno” Kiyoshi Saito, 60, Waikoloa died Sept. 19 at his residence. He was a landscaper and avid golfer. A memorial golf celebration will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course. Harold Tadashi Tanouye Jr., 78, of Hilo, died Monday at his home. Born in Hilo, he was the CEO, chairman and founder of Green Point Nurseries Inc. and was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, Wholesale Florists and Florist Suppliers of America, Society of American Florists, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaii, Hilo Y’s Men, and Aloha Golf Club. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Holy Cross, 440 W. Lanikaula St. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire.
