Mary Florentine Frank, 61, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 27. Born in Jonesboro, Ark., she was a service manager for Terminix and enjoyed gardening. Friends are welcome from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the Frank residence for memorial services. Survived by husband, Morris Frank of Kailua-Kona; son, James (Rebecca) Frank of Fredericksburg, Va.; brothers, Johnny Selman of South Carolina and Terry Selman of Virginia; sisters, Dorothy Gallaher, Dicie Woodard, Mamie (Roy) Brewer, and Jane Howard, all of Collinwood, Tenn., and Deborah (Tommy) Miller of Acworth, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews. William “Bud” Sherwood Loeffler Jr., 82, of Hilo died Aug. 14 at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired police officer and former liquor inspector for the County of Hawaii and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning the Korean Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars, UN Service Medal and Meritorious Unit Commendation. Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Elizabeth “Honey Girl” Pomaikai Simeona, 78, of Hilo died Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired staff sergeant from the Women’s Army Corp. and worked in the housekeeping department at the Hilo Medical Center, was a former employee at the Army Air Force Exchange Service and a member of the Women’s Army Corps Veterans Association, Chapter 62, and the Wikiwiki Golf Club. Private services held. Survived by brother, Wilmer “Chiefie” (Va) Simeona of Honolulu; sisters, Rachel Mahuna of Hilo, Evelyn (Joseph) Pavao of Pepeekeo, Sharon Simeona of Hilo, and Sandra Evangelista of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Simeona of Hilo, and Madeline Simeona of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother-in-law, Eugene Rawlins Sr. of Ainaloa; numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Debbie Ann Stevenson, 49, of Kaneohe, Oahu, died in Kailua. Born in Honokaa. Visitation from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary, East Chapel. Service at 10 a.m. Burial at 2 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha attire. Survived by husband, David E. Stevenson of Kaneohe; son, David E. Francis “Frank” George Woodbury, 86, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 23 in the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Devonport, England, he retired as an airlines regional customer service manager and was a business owner for 17 years. Private services held. Survived by wife, Janet Woodbury of Kailua-Kona; sons, Michael Woodbury of Lakeport, Calif., and Bruce Woodbury of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter, Jennifer Woodbury of Lake Oswego, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
