Salvador “Salva” Mauna Libarios Jr., 56, of Kealakekua, died Sept. 24 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he worked at Hawaiian Airlines, Kona Village, Yamaguchi Bus Company, Alu Like, and the Salvation Army, was a youth counselor, a former baseball and football coach for Konawaena High School, a member of KHK and Da Braddahs Softball Club, and St. Paul’s Catholic Church and St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Prayer service-celebration of life 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church hall in Honalo. Casual attire. Survived by sisters, Leaticia (Alfred) Baltero and Gina Depontes of Kealakekua of Kealakekua, Valencia Napua (Thomas) Kam, Estelle Deguair, Loveyann (Hamana) Ventura and Celeste Tania Malia (Mark) Aukai of Kailua-Kona, Stephanie (Mike Gaspar) Libarios of Kainaliu; brother, Dominic Scott (Walt Huckins) Libarios of Pukalani, Maui; hanai son, Dawson (Courtney Cho) Leorna of Kealakekua; one hanai grandson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
