On Sept. 28, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD Hawaii) sponsored a Candlelight Vigil of Remembrance and Hope. It gave families and community members an occasion to honor victims of impaired driving and homicide.
On behalf of MADD Hawaii, I would like to thank those who helped support our vigil: Pastor Lloyd Narimatsu and members of the congregation of Christian Heritage Fellowship, County Prosecutor Mitch Roth and the Victim Witness Unit of the Prosecuting Attorney’s office, Sgt. Christopher Gali of the Hawaii Police Department, Irene Nagao and Emma Chong, Cynthia Homna and Ken’s Towing, Kui and I Florist, Hilo Airport Flowers, MJ’s Floral Designs, Barry Taniguchi and KTA Superstores, MADD volunteer victim advocates and committee member.
A special “mahalo” to all those who attended, and to those who live their daily lives in the shadow of their loss.
