The state Department of Taxation has introduced updated mobile first tax search tools for its Tax Refund Search and Tax License Search. The modernized versions of these two web applications feature responsive design and provide the public quick and easy access to their tax refund status and tax license search information on their mobile devices.
“The taxpayer community can quickly check on their tax refunds or get tax license information anytime and anywhere,” explained Russell Castagnaro, general manager of the Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC. “We see that people spend more time online on their mobile devices, so it’s important that the Hawaii Department of Taxation allow users to easily access their services.”
“We’re pleased to continue our progress and add improved services for the state taxpayers and tax professionals,” said Director of Taxation Fred Pablo. “We value our ongoing dialogue with the tax community and take their input as a key part of our partnership. This is another part of numerous improvements we are making as we strive to increase adoption of electronic filing services.”
The Tax Refund Search is available at http:/tax.ehawaii.gov/hoihoi/ and the Tax License Search can be found at http://dotax.ehawaii.gov/tls/app. Both services can also be easily located via the Department of Taxation website at http://tax.hawaii.gov/.
These applications were developed and maintained via the eHawaii.gov program, a largely self-funded public-private partnership between the State of Hawai‘i and Hawai‘i Information Consortium LLC (HIC), a Hawai‘i corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of eGovernment firm NIC Inc. (NASDAQ: EGOV).
