Kazuo “Ken” Fukui, 77, of Hilo died Oct. 25 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Waipunalei, he was a retired truck driver and laborer for the Department of Transportation State Highways Division and a crane operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and was a member of Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church in Keaukaha. Gary Lew Kaysinger, 64, of Kapaau died Oct. 17 at his home. Born in Watsonville, Calif., he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants, was a veteran educator and football coach, an adolescent counselor, co-owner of an ocean sport company on Maui and was active in philanthropic work around the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii. Celebration of life to be held at the family residence.
