Practical Agriculture for Hamakua announces its third fall presentation will be “A Diverse Approach to Beekeeping in Hawaii.” Jenny Bach will teach the class on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School in Laupahoehoe.

Practical Agriculture for Hamakua announces its third fall presentation will be “A Diverse Approach to Beekeeping in Hawaii.” Jenny Bach will teach the class on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School in Laupahoehoe.

A few years ago, Hawaii was a honeybee heaven. With the arrival of two major honeybee pests, beekeeping changed forever. This presentation will cover the natural and organic beekeeping practices that support the health of honeybees for years to come.

There will be a $10 materials fee for adults, $5 for seniors age 60 and up and students with valid student ID. Please arrive 15 minutes early to register. Preregistration is not required. Please visit www.practicalagricultureforhamakua.com.
