Master Sgt. Nathaniel Cosby was arraigned at a hearing Wednesday at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. He is reserving the right to enter a plea at a later date.
Military judge Col. Jim Carberry set the trial for March 17.
The Marine Corps announced last month Cosby will face a general court-martial in the death of Ivanice Harris, who was visiting Hawaii from Las Vegas.
Harris’ body was found May 20 in a remote part of Oahu. Originally from Oregon, she was in Hawaii celebrating her 29th birthday.
Cosby is a Japan-based explosive ordnance disposal technician who was on temporary duty assignment in Hawaii.
