George “Chris” Lytle Christensen, 69, of Pahoa died Nov. 19 at home. Born in Florida, he was a contractor and U.S. Army veteran. Private services. Survived by daughters, Nikole (Justin) Keka of Pahoa and Lyla Christensen of Portland, Ore.; sons, Gabriel Christensen and Jedediah Christensen of Pahoa; five grandchildren. Patrick “Keala” Kailiawa, 40, of Pahala died Nov. 16 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, he was a county road maintenance worker and member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Visitation 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at family home in Pahala for an all-night vigil. Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Earl “Pepe” Mitsuo Miyagi, 82, of Hilo died Nov. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired assistant senior vice president of Central Pacific Bank and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and Hui Okinawa. Services held. Survived by wife, Tsuruye Miyagi of Hilo; son, Jeffery (Michelle) Miyagi of Hilo; daughters, Laura (Jack) Mitchell of Longview, Texas, Suzanne (Jeff) Naval of Las Vegas and Joni (Ian) Nagao of Hilo; sister, Kay (Paul) Bossert of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; nephews, nieces, and cousins. William Franklin Zuke, 70, of Waimea died Nov. 13. Born in Fresno, Calif., he was a photographer/artist, bonsai enthusiast and member of Kona Camera Club.
