Bieber security guard arrested
LIHUE, Kauai(AP) — A Florida man who witnesses said appeared to be Justin Bieber’s security guard has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man trying to take pictures of the pop star in Kauai.
Kauai County spokeswoman Sarah Blane said 32-year-old Dwayne Patterson allegedly assaulted a 29-year-old Hanalei resident after he refused to delete the photos and damaged his camera.
He was arrested Wednesday at Shipwreck’s Beach in Poipu for investigation of assault and property damage.
Patterson was released after posting $3,000 bail.
A witness said Patterson chased the man to his car and put him in a headlock until he dropped his camera and keys.
Bieber’s publicist declined to comment on the arrest.
